Note for the Zeitgeist Movement

Many points raised by the Zeitgeist Movement are very relevant to understand the serious problems of society today. I think it is important that more and more individuals have the opportunity to discuss those, and others, points in relation to the course of mankind, and also discuss how individuals can participate in possible changes of direction.

If the current goal of the Zeitgeist Movement is to disclose what could produce greater awareness in individuals then it would make sense to consider an approach by which the visibility of the movement itself decreases in order to increase the visibility of the dialogue and the discussion on the problems and solution alternatives.

The reason why I propose such an approach is that in the past I've seen how easily activist groups, which begin with some good ideas, and very good intentions, are quickly transformed into a sort of religious cult full of bigots; and that could happen when their ideas are disseminated among more people and the original intentions gradually fade away.

In order to the good ideas of the thinkers behind the Zeitgeist Movement, and other equally notable thinkers, do not have the unfortunate outcome of being lost among the collective noise, group identity, exaggerated enthusiasm, and the eagerness to have the reason by raising the voice, is that I think is prudent to think about this approach rather than the approach of supporting a group or movement in particular.

Therefore, in my case, I am looking for a personal activism unrelated to any group, because I don't consider necessary to be part of any group or movement to be able to talk and discuss with people around about the problems in the world and the possible alternative solutions.

With my personal activism I try to promote a get back to the basics of reflective thinking, to ask questions and challenge oneself. I do not disclose answers already conceived because for me, in the matter of personal transformation and improvement of consciousness, is more relevant to give individuals the opportunity to make their own judgments autonomously. I usually start by asking questions I myself actually have and not as a mean for directing the dialogue to my own goals. For example, how it is fair to say that we are part of a socioeconomic system and a single part could help to change that system?
